CURIO COLLECTION: BRAND MARKETING & VIDEO
To launch Curio Collection—at the time a new brand of unique, independent, often historic hotels—Hilton Worldwide asked our team to create a compelling story to introduce the brand to travelers across the globe. From modern creations to venerated landmarks, each Curio hotel has its own personality and its own special place in the fabric of the local community. And because each of these one-of-a-kind hotels has a unique story to tell, we wanted to create a campaign that invited discovery, spurred travelers to explore these varied properties and, ultimately, to create their own individual stories.
Experiences That Are All Your Own
The initial brand video—”I Am Curio”—and brand photography were shot on location at the historic Biltmore Hotel in Providence, RI, the Diplomat Hotel in Hollywood, FL and in various locations around Los Angeles, CA.

What started as a scriptwriting and video production project turned into a full-blown Agency of Record relationship, covering advertisements, additional property videos, social media content creation, influencer campaigns, and photo shoots.

One of the most striking things about the brand is the sexy black-and-white aesthetic, which helps create an inviting air of intrigue and mystery that stands out among other hotel brands. The photography and video style take a voyeuristic point of view, giving the viewer the sense that they’re being let in on a secret—getting a glimpse of how a select few get to experience the world. The end result is a brand that pulls travelers in and invites them to experience a new world—a world seen through the lens of the Curio Collection.
